PREPARATION FOR BATTLE
Reginald P. Pamintuan PHD
Proclaim this among the nations:
“Prepare for war!
Wake up the mighty men,
Let all the men of war draw near,
Let them come up.
10 Beat your plowshares into swords
And your [g]pruning hooks into spears;
Let the weak say, ‘I am strong.’ ”
11 Assemble and come, all you nations,
And gather together all around.
Cause Your mighty ones to go down there, O Lord.
12 “Let the nations be wakened, and come up to the Valley of Jehoshaphat;
For there I will sit to judge all the surrounding nations.
There is a silent and Hidden War going on. We are helpless victims unless we know it and learn to fight it.
This is a call to fight and PREPARE FOR WAR.

Preparation for Battle 3: Seek the Presence of God
Seek the Lord while he may be found; call on him while he is near.
Look to the Lord and his strength; seek his face always.
But may all who seek you rejoice and be glad in you; may those who long for your saving help always say, “The Lord is great!”
This is what the Lord says to Israel: “Seek me and live;
The mountains melt like wax at the presence of the Lord, At thepresence of the Lord of the whole earth.
Tremble, O earth, at the presence of the Lord, At the presence ofthe God of Jacob,
Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of theLord,
Preparation for Battle 4: Refuse to Live in Fear
Then the Lord said to him, “Peace be with you; do not fear, you shall not die.”
Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’

The Whole Armor of God
10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. 11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the [a]wiles of the devil. 12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of [b]the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. 13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14 Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15 and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; 18 praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints—
